Yeah... this could be very good if it's got the production values that Rome had.

I heard about it when they first announced this back in February.

HBO also optioned to do a series based on Garth Ennis' Preacher comic, which could be pretty damn cool, if any of you folks are familiar with it.

I don't know anything about this story, but I will tell you one thing; HBO doesn't make bad series. It is just plain and simple, and if they produce this, and you are a fan of the story from somewhere else, I can say with confidence you won't be disappointed.

I told Ashley, the college aged daughter of our friends about this and she made a face. I always kinda cringe when I hear books I love are being made into movies, but I haven't read these but I've always heard great things about the series. I'm afraid to go pick them up now though lol.

Until they Cancel the f***ing shows you've grown to love so much... case in point: Rome, & Deadwood (soprano's too, but that has actually gotten more than 2-3 seasons)
I cried when I saw that Rome was over....

What really sucks is that they canceled Deadwood because it was they didn't have enough money to produce both it and Rome. Then, next season, they cancel Rome! I really miss both these shows. Deadwood was just pure art, and Rome was the most fun hour of TV there's ever been.

I saw on Martin's site that they had purchased the rights to it. I will be very eagerly awaiting this series.

I never watched Deadwood (I don't watch much TV), but I definitely made time to watch ROME. Best TV series ever. I'm really going to miss it.

This series would have been destroyed as a movie.....but as an HBO show....perfect.
