Weak ending.
I havent been enamored with this season as I was with the others. There have been some good episodes.

Anyone catch the finale? Thoughts? Rants? Guesses?

Here's my long-winded rant:
I was with it until the last 25 minutes or so. Then it just all fell apart.
I can buy Baltar's acquittal. I was thinking much the same as Apollo...there are a few other people on Galactica who'd have to be standing next to Gaius on the gallows if things were equal. I agreed with that, but it was incredibly stupid to let Apollo go on for five minutes about it, and for that to sway the judges. From then, it just got worse.
Adama's decision made no sense. Those four being Cylons made no sense. All Along The Watchtower made no sense. The deal with Hera made no sense. Starbuck popping up outta nowhere, while expected, made no sense.
In fact, the only thing that could explain Watchtower and Starbuck pieces is if they're gonna pull some damn M. Night Shymalan/Planet of the Apes crap and reveal next season that Earth has been populated by Cylons the whole time. Gawds wouldn't that suck for a series finale.
But I'll assume that Starbuck is the Fifth of the Final Five at this point. Which is also completely stupid, but makes about as much sense as anything else right now.
Overall, this show staked its claim on realistic, gritty space drama with the emphasis on drama and a de-emphasis on space. That's what the producers have constantly tried to drive home in interviews and largely accomplished in the first couple of seasons. But if you're gonna have that, you have to stick to it. And they aren't. So that's what's really disappointing here.
The one bright spot was Mark "Badger" Sheppard as Romo Lampkin. That was a great character. Also a nice touch was having Baltar almost immediately return to his arrogant self after the trial and then getting promptly shut down by both his lawyers. Other than that...meh.

Veb thinks the 5th is President Roslyn. I suppose that makes sense, her cancer had to have come back for some reason and it could be used as a pivotal point in that storyline. Or something.

Ron Moore explained in an interview after the finale aired that Roslyn is sick again because the prophecy said "a dying leader."

It makes more sense that the dying leader should be a Cylon with a non clylonish disease, doesn't it? It makes their journey to the promised land even more epic and bitter sweet. Although wouldn't it be funny if they get to earth and it's after we tear it to shreds and its lifeless?

I'm having a hard time accepting Tigh as a cylon. I can see the other 3, but... I'll have to go back and re-watch the series to see how that ties in. I am expecting there will be some foreshadowing I've overlooked, and will be looking for it this time.
My money's on Starbuck to be the last of the final five. I don't believe it will be Roslyn, nor either of the Adamas, nor even Baltar. I would have put my money on Gaeda (sp?) but he doesn't seem important enough. Still, there's clearly something not right about him.
I was also wondering about the Dylan tune, but the answer might simply be in the title: all of the 4 cylons we learned about in this episode were, in effect, "all along the watchtower".
There's a part of me that thinks Kara's role is more significant than being a mere cylon. But I can't think how else to explain her re-appearance after certain death.
Whatever the case, I'll definitely be watching the entire series again while waiting for the next season. 2008?!? WTF? Seems a long way off.

I also believe it's Starbuck, because unless the Fifth is someone we haven't even met before, they all would have been aboard Galactica and would've been triggered by the music. Roslyn's connection to Athena and Caprica Six is only because she was given Hera's blood.
Of course, maybe the fifth Cylon is either Bob Dylan or Jimi Hendrix.
