Yeah, I'm sure at that time they will finally go with IPv6. The article says the plan is for the "new" internet to go live in 10 to 15 years. Maybe if I really bump up my 401k I can retire by then...

Yeah, Microsoft can do some f'd up stuff. Their licensing concepts make my eyes bleed, and their security patches (and problems stemming from them) make the baby Jesus cry. But beyond that, I still say thank God for Microsoft. Beside the aforementioned items, they have been a blessing in the modern world of PCs, no matter what Mac fans tell you.
IPv6 is one of their babies. Its a necessary evil that will offer an IP address pool that would be practically infinite compared to IPv4. We would already be dead in the water with IPv4 if it wasn't for NAT, but all the mobile devices in the world are making it worse.
