"Spiffy" Casual.
For my date on Sunday, I was requested to wear attire that could be termed "Spiffy" Casual.
I'm at a loss. I can't get a consensus on what this means, and according to several places on the 'Net, "spiffy casual" refers to dress such as "kaki's (sic) and shirt. Clean, nice, but not formal."
Looking at http://www.dresscodeguide.com/default.asp it states that "Smart casual" is collared shirt/polo/tennis, with dockers/khakis.
According to both definitions, that's what I wore for the first date.
I wore a long sleeved black button-down (short collar) with light khakis, and sneakers for comfort and common sense (we walked ~8 miles).
For work...
Our dress code is officially "Business casual" but it is relaxed 245 days out of 250, and we can wear almost anything we want, but a polo/button down and jeans are the implied "lower limit."
So I'm a bit at a loss. Should I wear something similar to what I wore on the first date? And pack something more casual?
She has said she has been having trouble decide what skirt she wants to wear... so I'm thinking that probably means "dress up" more than "jeans-casual."
If my rambling has made any sense, please let me know... I have til about 9am Sunday to get a final answer (though sooner might be nice, in case I need to get my ass out shopping)
Thanks
I'd go with business cas - a crisp button up with no tie, bring sneakers but wear like loafers or something just a cut above nice sneakers but not uncomfortable dress shoes. Remember to bring altoids, exfoliate your skin and get a haircut.
Haircut already done.
Exfoliate? Huh?
*male*
All men should have a skin regime. It's not a girl thing. Exfoliating helps take off dead skin, promotes new growth and makes your skin look healthy, bright. If you're gonna do a thing - start exfoliating. A good cleanser, then a soft face towel and an oil free moisturizer.
Well, I use a daily Clearasil wash then as I get out of the shower superheat a wash towel with water and hold it to my face for a few seconds, but I haven't used moisturizer.
T-shirt underneath the polo, and left the polo untucked. (She said it made me look taller. *shrug*)
And was able to find my actual dress shoes.

I'm surprised that no one picked up on this little tidbit. What do you mean you were request to wear a certain attire? If your date asked for it, it would send up all the red flags to me.
There is one thing to try and impress someone with appearing presentable, but to have someone request it as an option, that just is no good.

Her original plan for that date was to go to one out of a selection of certain local specialty restaurants that have "better-than-casual" dress codes.
But, being Sunday in the middle of a really screwed up town, all but the pizza and hoagie (sub/torpedo) places were -closed- at 1pm.
So where you at with this? first, second or third base? /wink
What is the breakdown again?
second = kissing
third = boobie touching, i'm fairly certain
Home base = SECKS0RZ!
First = hand holding
second = kissing
third = boobie touching, i'm fairly certain
Home base = SECKS0RZ!
I seem to remember:
First: Frenching
Second: Touching over the clothes
Third: Touching under or without clothes, esp below the waist
Home Run: Naughty naughty!
In my list, "first."
