Mr. Brooks
Wow...I really liked this, and not just because Kevin Costner was in it either (though he was extremely good). It kept me awake the entire time, and threw me a couple curves I never expected. William Hurt was good as well, and Demi Moore wasn't awful, but really, it was the story that just kept me glued to the screen. Three and a half thumbs out of four

Not a big Demi fan but I never have been. Though I would go see it for Costne and Hurt who has been one of my favs since Altered States.

Just watched this. I absolutely enjoy William Hurt as his evil half. He's been doing these dark evil parts - ie History of Violence (as the older brother at the end) and it's like the older he gets, the better his choices in parts to portray.
The relationship between Kevin Costner's Earl and William Hurt's Marshall is fantastic - their conversations and private jokes are brilliant. The dialogue and Marshall's thought process that helps Earl do what his addiction needs is great to watch.
The storyline with Earl's daughter is a little stupid, to be honest. Still, good movie.
