Fox (WIP - c/c pls!)
Straight render, no post or anything yet. Looking mainlt to see what y'all think of the pose, lighting, scene?
Fox (linked for size)
So far in my to do list is:
repainting / sharpening the door
adding dimension to his hair
some more shadows to ground his feet maybe?
light flashing from / shine marks on the coin
then general things like texture and highlight cleanup
But before I touch all that is there anything that needs repositioning / change?
credits -
M3 w/ Dean texture, morphs by me
Kurt hair
Beasthunter & HD clothing mixed

I'd say his pose looks spot on. As for the door, before you worry about trying to paint on it, go in and see if you can't add some bump to it, and the brick behind him. Maybe even the rails/steps as well. Just enough to give them some texture so they don't seem so flat. And don't sharpen up the door too much. Right now the focus is totally on him. I think if you sharpen the door up, it will compete with him too much. I do love the direction this is going tho ;) I see a lil glint shining on the coin, red tip on the cig with a lil smoke, and a trail of smoke coming from his lips. Great work hon!

His right foot doesn't quite seem connected to the ground... so definetly some shadows to ground him.
Can't wait to see the final!!

He looks hot! I like him.
My cc is kind of not so art related but if I could do that pose / situation in real life. Would he really put his left foot on his coat? Or would he brush that awesome coat aside and plunk is dirty boot on the wall? I would probably trip myself and fall down if I did that, plus get my coat liner dirty. Also his right leg looks slightly hyperextended. While my right leg DOES bed like that, most people's don't apparently.
Looks great though!

I have to agree with Eve hun. I think the lack of textures really take away from the scene. Looks like he is infrount of a poster more so then a door or w/e atm.some added shadow around his foot maybe it looks kinda like hes slipping off the stair?
The rest looks great to me tho :D *claps*

A little more light on his face would be good, right now he's way way in the shadows, unless that's what you're going for. The other c/c is pretty much what I would have added, except the texture bit - I R not that l33t =D

Thanks y'all. Yeah I agree that right now the door looks completely flat like a poster. Backstreets uses the same texture map as a bump and it doesn't work terribly wekk so I am playing around with making my own for the door. I thought his face was a little dark but considering the light sources I wasn't sure how to brighten it up without losing the overall standing in the shadows kind of feel to it. I had to really tweak the light that shines down "over" the door to keep it from being too directly overhead and throwing the face and stuff into some funky shadows. I'll play around with some gray and blue lights for a darkness / nighttime feel but with illumination.
And the pose only needs the leg tweaked pretty much? Can do.
I agree with his foot on the inside of the coat, that does seem a little off to me. I'll have to do some render layering to create a split in the back since trying to wrap it around his leg proved too damn hard for me to get it to look decently realistic.
