Cerulean Dreams

Created for my Image Editing for Games class, as a week 4 assignment to create a star system with the following guidelines:

6x11 (or 11x6 I assume is fine)
at least one spiral
at least one comet
use of clouds (filter)

This is my creation, with use of various tips and tricks from my coursebook and Greg Martin's tutorials on creating a planet and creating a starfield. The comet is totally my own, no tutorial used for guidance, as when I tried to follow one, it didn't turn out right, so I broke out the trusty soft fuzzy paintbrush and spackled smudge brush.

I'm pretty proud of it. I really didn't think I could do this assignment with anything resembling a decent-looking space scene.
