stupid firefox icons in favorites

when i am viewing a webpage with an icon, if i try to go to another page in my favorites, but it doesnt load for whatever reason (internet failed on my end, busy server, whatever), it ends up taking on the icon of the page i was viewing before it. for example: i was uploading a magelo song to ripway, and then i tried to go to magelo to update the url to my new song. magelo was down for whatever reason, and now ever since then, magelo has a ripway icon in my favorites menu instead of a magelo icon. i am hoping someone can tell me how to correct this problem, either by manually choosing a webpage icon for the favorites menu, or forcing firefox to update it.

Strange...I was having a similar problem recently and one reboot cleared it up.

FF 2.0.0.4 seems to have an odd glitch where sometimes the favicon of one site will stick to the site before or after it.

I think I've narrowed it down to sites that you try to load before the previous site has finished loading, but I can't always duplicate it.

Right now for me, TAC has the favicon of Netflix. Just weird.

Did some Googling. There's nothing specific about "mixed firefox favicons" or "corrupt firefox favicons" or several mixed variations thereof, but I did find:

Favicon Picker2 addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3176

Also, one forum mentioned to try clearing your cache.

-I typically do this by opening Firefox to a blank page (about:blank) then clear the cache.
