Angelina Jolie in 3d is gonna be the shiznit. Her voice is amazing in the trailer too. I'm excited!

Till the powers that be yank it - here's the 2 and half minute scene of Angelina Jolie's character being introduced to Beowulf. The 3d is amazing, but yeah there's something missing in her face - the expression doesn't touch her eyes at all.

The Reaper is the only reason I am waiting on this to come out on Video. I try not to support that psycho any more than I have too.

If my old webspace still existed, I'd post a pic for Sergon that I fixed up for a discussion people were having about Angelina Jolie. Most of the guys were tossing out the DSL comments, so I zoomed in on her lips in a high res picture. Every wrinkle was visible, and they looked like sandpaper. Ow.

Saw this in 3d last week...and the graphics were amazing to me. The story was so so, but ROz you hit the nail on the head, as far as the eyes go. While watching it I remembered a line from Jaws, where Quint is talking about the shark's eyes...saying they were dead eyes... The faces were great for emotion, but yea, the eyes really lacked life. I guess there is only so much you can get from artificial graphics.

They're getting there though - from what I saw of it, the realism is pretty damn impressive O_O

And in 3D...talk about coming a long way! The glasses are like sunglasses now, no more of the blue/red cellophane lenses, and the actual viewing is so natural. I really loved that part of the movie experience.

Next summer Journey to the Center of the Earth is coming out in 3D and I'm going to see that too, except I think the medium lends itself better to computer graphics.

i went and saw this last night.

I love it, i think it was awesome. That being said, I could tell a difference in time spent on crafting 'beowulf' as opposed to all the other characters.

At times it was extremely difficult to tell that he was CG, where everyone else had the noticeable telltale signs. He had every wrinkle, whisker pit, whisker color variation.. that you'd see on a real person.

Oh god the hair too - we need to figure out that hair!

I thought the story was very interesting and could leave openings for other beowulf followups.

I would've liked a better explanation of what AJ actually was in the movie, but they got plenty of titty shots in the movie so I was thrilled anyhow :P

as per my namesake I'll say this:
It's just as well Jolie was rendered in 3D and given a body, well, you know...

'Cause presently the bitch is scrawny in real life, and quite frankly is no longer as physically...sculpted as she once was.

its a good movie but its not a MUST-SEE war of the worlds theater movie.

I disagree, but only if you see it in 3D. Otherwise, I say don't waste your money.

the imax around here is about an hour away, and its not a regular theater. It's part of the children's museum ( which happens to be a BAD ASS museum if my memory serves

That sounds like our IMAX in Harrisburg, its part of the music of scientific discovery.

Hence why I call her the Grim Reaper. All she needs is a Scythe and Robe and shes got the job. She was hot back in the Hackers/Lara Croft time of her career. Now she just looks like a meth addict or a bulimic whose on her last heave.
