.... i built my first pc when i was 16.
i selected my own parts and paid for it too.
i would've been perhaps a little ahh'd by this if she had pimped out her case, but she didn't.

I'm sure the contents of the article are not too out of the ordinary, but this was an interesting way for the guy to help his gf get a bit more "into" PCs.
It's like 16 pages, very short blurbs on each page (more ad impressions I guess) but still an interesting read.

To top it off these days most of the major part manufacturers put a brainless 18 color pamphlet on how to plug the yellow cord in the yellow socket. Building PC's these days is joke. Like Vex I built my first 386 in 1988 and the manuals were all in Chinese so this is no big feat.
