Hosting question....again.
Would you website people take a look at this and see if it is a good deal? There are a lot of features, that I don't know are good or bad. :)

A lot of NS'ers use Deezsites.com. Its ran by one of the NS technical admins. Everyone raves about it, I personally use doteasy but dont recommend it. I bought my domain from www.godaddy.com which is an awesome site, good customer service too, but again you can purchase the whole thing from Deezsites.
There's also jiffynet.net which is what Mira used for solrorage.com I think he bought the doman from godaddy as well. Here's the prices for deezsites to compare.

If/when you put up your site, there's usually a small fee for the Mysql feature. On doteasy I paid 16 for the year, it maybe be included or cheaper with other plans. I know deezsite has a really nice tutorial set up and they answer questions fast, doteasy put my site up for me in fact. doteasy has GREAT customer service, but price wise I'm getting screwed =/ Most hosts will update your board with the latest phpbb patches as well. So when you do that and put a board up, let us know or ask your web host to assist if you have problems =)
Personally I'll either go jiffy or deezsites next july when my time to renew again. Hope that helps =)

looks like Mysql is free with their plans. Is that what the phpbb uses?

Do you know how much traffic you generate per month Mae? Are you over 30 GB? I know I won't have near the traffic you have, however just trying to get a feel for usage, so I don't go over. HEHE

Well I'd tell you if I could get to the member section of doteasy. /rolls eyes But no i have 20gig transfer and I never go over. The only time I came close was when i hosted the hate board for a week. That bandwidth usage was NUTS.
I'm not sure how much traffic my site actually gets. I've goten 21k hits to the front page and decent but minimal traffic daily on my boards. I tend to use a lot of space with my images though, i friggin host everything. Pics, sig files, mini movies. Go for space, dont worry about traffic to be honest.
