Shoot 'Em Up
new Clive Owen movie comes out tomorrow (09-07-07). He looks as edible as always.. =D
official movie site : http://www.shootemupmovie.com/
Story :
Clive Owen stars as Mr Smith, a mysterious loner who teams up with an unlikely ally (Monica Belluci) to protect a newborn baby from a determined criminal (Paul Giamatti) who hunts them through the bowels of the city.
Written and directed by Michael Davis (Monster Man)
The article on the Houston Chronicle's website mentions fast paced action with gun fights during sex, while delivering a baby and falling from an airplane. The commercials for this look great too so I am thinking we may brave the opening weekend press to catch this one!

Yeah if it opens at the Cinema we go to in Clear Lake which is the Cinema Star Grill we will go see it tomorrow night. I love this cinema makes going to a movie worth it. You can order any kind of drink and food from a menu while sitting there watching the movie and they bring it to you in the theater. So last time the hubby and I went to see Bourne Ultimatum on opening day it only cost us $40 bucks for the movie, dinner, drinks and desert all while watching the movie. And the food is really good. A lot cheaper then going to first or afterwards at a chain restaurant and still have to pay for the movie. Oh and it's not like packed or even really that crowded.

ooooo!!! I have been wanting to try that place! We normally go to the Cinemark right next to that place! =D I've always wondered.. are the seats there the type where the arms move up and you can get snuggly and comfy?

No unfortunately but the seats are comfortable. They have like a dinner tray in front of you for 2 people so if you go with someone it's great. If you go you have to try their STAR DESSERT BITES 3.99
This is one of a kind!! Breaded and fried bite size cheesecake, brownie & Banana Fosters served with a chocolate dipping sauce. It is to die for.
Here is the link to the cinema

fried cheesecake and brownies? *twitch* omg mmmmmm. I know X has been wanting to try this place so if this opens there we may just go.. but I love the Cinemark because the seats are roomy and comfy, so if it's not at Star I know it'll be there! I'd watch Clive in just about anything. I even watched all of Children of Men just for him, that damn depressing movie.. and this looks to be maybe as action packed as Crank. Maybe... that's one hell of a heartpounding movie to compete with.. but this looks THAT good.

Yeah it says it is coming soon so I think that is the next movie that is coming there which will be opening day more than likely. As soon as you walk in there is a full bar. Best thing to do is go like 15 to 20 minutes before the movie starts get your seat and then order what you want. Their full menu is on their website. Their food is amazing and better than some of the places that are around there. But yeah I about died when I ate the cheesecake and brownies and they have a small bowl of melted chocolate to dip them in. As i said to die for....

We saw this Saturday. OH MY FUCKING GAWD. Great great flick. Not quite the non stop rollercoaster of Crank but very much up there.
I'd say the action started within mmm 2 minutes of the opening shot. Clive's Mr. Smith as the reluctant hero in this was great. Paul Gui-whatever was hilarious, disturbing and funny as the head assassin. One of the best lines he has is in the trailer and I just love it. Something like "do we suck that much or is he just that good"? hehe. Yes, he's that good.
The plot and it's twists was ummm.. average? Nothing groan-inducing. However the action was grab you by the shirtfront and smack you around intense. Several scenes had me gasping out loud, bursting out laughing or proclaiming thinks like "holy fuck" when they were done. And I wasn't the only one. I was vaguely aware of the audience around me making similar responses but I was too glued to the screen to completely pay attention. I want to go see this again just to absorb some of the details I know I missed.
There is a good lesson in this film. One must always carry a carrot. Carrots are the most useful tool in any hero's aresenal. This film may have the first time in cinema a man is killed by a carrot. So always eat your carrots people, it's good for your eyesight.. most of the time =D
So yeah... go see this film. It's got guns, tits (and they're very nice ones!), a love story, massive killing and mayhem, car chases, a gun fight while : delivering a baby, skydiving from a plane, and while having nice hot sex (any guy who can bring a woman to a loud orgasm while rolling and moving around in a gunfight has got to be amazing in the sack, talk about focus) Oh and it has tons of cute puns. Yes yes, awesome awesome flick.

Haven't seen it yet, but I think it's a pretty safe assumption that this is a parody of that movie. I found it on a friend's WoW board.

Yes that is the scene of a gunflight while escaping from the bad guy's airplane. One of the many gunfight while xxx that I didn;t mention in my review. I still love this movie. I must buy this movie. *squees at Clive in the little parody* so cuuuuuute!
