Musical Associations

I'm sure a lot of us are familiar with the concept of the "Our Song"...

"Oh, John, they're playing Our Song!" "Oh Marsha!" *kiss kiss kiss*

By this, I have been remembering lately a handful of songs to which I can unequivocally equate certain events.

For instance, we always used to hear Billy Joel's song "For The Longest Time" when the Fam used to go to the Jersey Shore on a regular basis. We'd always hear it when pulling down the last street to the parking area, and leave it blasting while we emptied our Shore Paraphernalia from the truck.

Also, Atlantic Starr's "Always" was an unmissable tune when we used to go to the Philadelphia Zoo.

Then, Heatwave's "Always and Forever" seemed to frequently play when we were going to the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philly.

There are others that I'd have to think of, but...

Do you have any "musical associations" to relate, whether they be seeming coincidences like above, or actual "romantic lover songs" ?

God 'Always' and 'Always and forever' were my junior high's national anthem back in the mid 80's. Friggin played those songs TO DEATH. That and 'raw base - pump up the volume'. I don't care what year it was, my high school in washington played that friggin song into the mother fucking ground every time we had a dance. So annoying.
