Interesting review of OS X 10.5

http://arstechnica.com/reviews/os/mac-os-x-10-5.ars/1

Admittedly, I only have full use experience of up to 10.2.6, even though my Mac was brought back to me earlier in the year (after nine months on loan) with a fresh install of 10.4.3...

but almost everything that Leopard seems to have added "feels" like the OS is finally maturing.

Wish I could play with the new OS soon.

I read this one over myself. Interesting read. I'm not a Mac person admittedly but the techy in me likes to fool around with new software.

Make your own hackintosh. If I had an intel machine I would mess around with this for fun.

most boring article ever.

i dont give a shit about his opinion about the gui. give me a bulleted list of why i should upgrade my OS. not some bloated, fluffed-beyond-belief article of this guy's 'expert opinion' on GUIs.

sorry thats as far as i made it. i couldnt even get to the goods about the actual technical advances because 3 pages of whining about curved corners and semi transparent bars made me pass out on my keyboard.

ie:

why upgrade to vista
* DirectX 10
( more reasons maybe coming in a couple years when SP2 is released)

is what will urge me to upgrade.

I posted this somewhere else...apparently the operating system has already been hacked.
