The price for one liter Euro 95 (normal gasoline) is 1,42 euro right now that's $ 2,04 a liter so a 2,04 x 3,6 = 7,34 a gallon.

Since I have to pay in pound here , not euros lets see its :

Today one pound = 2 US Dollars and 10 cents

Today gas is 1 pound and 4 pence so,

one liter is (1.04 x 2.10= 2.184 .. so $2.20 rounded up)

my tank is actually 72 liters so to completely fill her up would be ...

2.20 x 72 = $158.74 .......

How do you even drive there??!!!! What's your COLA? It must be insane. It's like 1k a month additional here in alaska, but god it has to be SO much more in europe!

What our COLA? like cola to drink? and yes it's expensive here *nods* we pay car insurance per quarter of a year and i have no idea how much that is lol.

COLA = cost of living allowance. Adi and I are both military dependants, so our husbands get an additional COLA depending on the area. It's so expensive to live here in Alaska, they give us additional money just to afford rent, food etc.

COLA in Eurpoe is the lowest of all countries I believe. ... explain that one to me when its the most expensive fucking place to live =/ This is why Jeff goes TDY every chance he can get lol we need to money! We lucked out with our landlord hes kept the rent low or the cost of our ceiling when most places would be charging a few hundred pond more ~! hehe I will have to ask Jeff hes passed out on the couch atm tho (

Ah ok well we have regular jobs so I wouldn't know, but over here I have no clue what the military get... as far as rent, I own my house so we pay mortgage, the houses here are expensive, people in the US often have a heart attack when i tell them the prices, it's just very different here from the US some things cost WAY more others are cheaper *shrug*

Well, in UK, we have a minimum wage which is £5.50 now I think ($11 an hour ish) I get £5.70 an hour. I work in retail, so wages suck anyway. I am single, no kids, I don't smoke, rarely drink etc.

I looked to move out of my parents as I will be 24 on next birthday. A one bedroom flat in my town would cost me £350+ a month to rent. Thats like half my monthly income. Then all the bills on top of that, food, transport etc, I'd have nothing left for myself. I cant get a mortgage cos I don't earn enough.

So basically, for a single person it is impossible to live alone.
