At Fault - a poem
I don't know why you keep messaging me
You know it'll just be ignored
After all, isn't it with a geek named Mike
that you've long and finally scored?
I never read your umpteen letters
If umpteen can be counted as three
I don't know why you insisted on sending
Only after things were over with me
You always ignored my birthday
And even the holidays each year too
You never thought it needed done
Unless I was reaching out to you
"You have to go first" you'd often say
But you see that's not how it works
These things are two way streets
Always going one way, you look like a jerk
I don't know why you keep messaging me
But I wish you would just halt
Because for you that someone isn't me
Go back to your love ere he finds you at fault.
