i think i will move to korea.
this is fucking bullshit. they are doing this to deter torrent users. when im working on a vamp product i can easily transfer 500mb or more in a day - thats not counting all the other downloading I do ( buying stuff - the packs can now be 80mb without flinching - especially from daz )
and thats NOT counting 200-400mb patches for games.
Time Warner To Charge based on useage...

Well I seriously doubt most people will put up with that.. TW will find people leaving in droves for DSL if they seriously try to implement that type of thing.

I'm kinda shocked they are going backwards with their marketing strategy. It has always been that that communications (landline phone, car then cell phone, internet) always start with the pay per usage and then as competition and infrastructure both increase, they kick over to a pay for service model.
I saw an article earlier in the week where AT&T are looking into capping download speeds on P2P data, similiar to what Comcast started doing about a year ago. Obviously companies were not ready for the amount of bandwidth that people were going to pull over extended periods of time (large files on P2P) rather than just in bursts (small downloads and browsing).
