Norton pre-Installs suck

I had three computer-based tasks tonight on late shift.

1-Replace one motherboard
2-Set up one laptop
3-Add one computer to the network/domain

#3 took me all of 40 seconds.
#1 took me about 15 minutes (I was lucky, I didn't have to scrape the processor paste)

#2, on the other hand...

Our network uses Trend Micro anti-virus. The Trend installer normally uninstalls Norton during its auto-setup process. However, even though we get monthly (give or take a week) updates to Trend, the Auto-Remove-Norton option isn't working.
So instead of having Trend go in and basically erase Norton from existence on this laptop, I have to uninstall every. single. norton. app. by hand.
I just uninstalled Norton Internet Security.
Or at least, started the installation process. Going on 18 minutes now.

And!! this was after telling (wherever it was purchased from) that we wanted JUST Windows XP and NO preinstallation crap.
