Which merchant resource are you using for the lips - they look really dry? I like the nose shape and I know there are a few here that'll love the piercings.
Welcome again, Lady D!
So....
Here I am =) just doing some pre-promo rendering and wanted to see what everyone thinks. I know the left earring isn't exactly right to be matched to the right one... fixing that now. And I still need to translate the other smart props to the other side but here's where I'm at.

Nothing fancy on mats, just material color/highlight/ambient set to black, reflection white with a default silver reflection. Doing mats for a freebie release later.

whoopsies... forgot to apply a mat there *snickers* lemme re-render!
_edit_
Not sure why since they were rendering nice and shiny but I'm getting that duller/dry look now. here's a link to the makeups and I really didn't change much with the lighting. Anyone have any suggestions to fix that?

Hey LadyD. Welcome to TAC :)
Not exactly sure what you're looking for input on, so i'll do the whole thing ;)
* Your metal needs a highlight on it. With the right shader settings you dont even need to fake a chrome reflection. the Glossy specular node is great for metallics.
* Your eyebrows don't blend with your skin texture at all. I would suggest looking at some images and trying to find a way to shade them into the skin a little more. Right now they look like a brush just pasted right on. There's also a lot of great photo resources from levius at Renderosity that you can cut out the eyebrows and with a little bit of hue/sat adjustment you can blend them into your skin with little problems ;)
* Agree with ROz on the lips, they need a little moisture - shaders would help this, but also so would color them a bit pinker/peachier than the skin.
* Lastly, if you modeled the jewelry? The loops of the captive-bead jewelry is very very thin. Nose gauges are usually 16g and lips are 14g. Ears are usually 20g, but with that ind of jewelry you're lucky to find anything smaller than 18g. I suggest looking thru bmezine.com for some good examples of what people wear for jewelry =)
Hope that helps =)

Thanks a bunch Vex. I did do my jewelry models... and am pretty off on realistic gauge for them. Just glad I can remember the abc's of props and getting them smart propped in poser. Taking them back to 3ds and whipping em into shape. Killer reference site btw =)
And thanks again for that help with the brows ... I used a resource but getting them more grounded in to the rest of the texture hasn't been easy. I like that idea of taking the lip more peach/pink to see if that brings them out a little more. I'm pretty rusty so hopefully I can get the shaders better. And if not, I know I can get plenty of advice over here.

Thanks Vex. Ended up calling for a little help and my models were turned into a 'base' and revamped to be a little cleaner in poser. and mapped out since my uv mapping is a little scary. Trust me that's the next thing I'm working on. But here's a quick placement to make sure it looks better on v4

and then here's a bigger render of the hoop itself just playing with some texture ideas. I'm really going to have to cut myself off with these because I have a million ideas that I want to do for them... and looking at jewelery references isn't helping!!!!

And I am SO sorry about the photobucket and minor weirdness with my links otherwise this morning... had a wee bit of forgetfulness and my domain had to get re-registered in a hurry!

Hehehe! I can't wait to try her out; gonna do a complete re-install of Poser which I'm hoping may help with the issues I'm having, then have a shot! Get ready for HARD-CORE C/C!! :D (not really, lol)
