Help with external hard drive!!
*Places dunce cap carefully upon pointed noggin*
Okay, my husband bought an external hard drive with uh... 1TB? Yeah, that sounds right... of space. He partitioned it into two drives, one for him and one for me. On mine, I installed Poser (6) and proceeded to transfer my runtime on my current computer (AKA PieceOfShit) over to the runtime that installed on the XHD.
When I try to run Poser from the XHD directly, I get an error message stating that there was a problem with the executable file (poser.exe, I presume). I have no idea why, and no idea how I could possibly go about troubleshooting this, because I am a computer-moron, and my husband knows nothing of Poser (nor does he really care, heh) so he's not much help either.
Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions/tips for this poor, pathetic Poser-addict?
you can leave poser on your internal HD and put your runtime on the external and link it, but i dont know that it will run on an External.
I wouldn't advise calling Smith-Micro though, I stopped trying after over a week and 11 messages went unreturned.
