Dina has a blonde moment
Since Sunday I have been thinking that I want to get Shrek and Shrek 2 on DVD. We were up near San Jose visiting my folks and Monday night I was so consumbed by the thought that I drove all over Mountain View looking a place to buy them. I found Shrek 2 on sale (for $10) at Hollywood video but still no Shrek. On the way back to the OC we stopped off at the Sherman Oaks Galleria (that's a whole other story, see below if you are really interested) and I found a copy of Shrek there for $14.99, yay, so I bought it.
Are you wondering where the blonde moment comes in? Hang in there, it's coming. We get home and the hubby looks on the DVD shelf and says, "Dork, you already had Shrek!" :o I really need to watch my DVDs more often just so I can remember which ones I own. :looney
I guess it can't really be called a moment as it lasted over 48 hours. Should I just bleach my hair blonde? At least that way people will be prepared and know what kind of person they are dealing with. *sigh*

For anyone who's wondering what the fuck we were doing at the Sherman Oaks Galleria, here's the story:
My sister made an 80's compilation CD which has Frank Zappa's song "Valley Girl" on it. My husband, the freak, LOVES that song. I think it's because he knows it annoys me. Anyway, since I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and was part of the "Valley Girl" generation, as it were, it led to a discussion of what a Valley Girl is. For those of you that don't know, the Galleria is where they hung out in herds. (Not me, though I spent my loitering time at the Northridge Fashion Center.) Since we were passing near there on the way back home when the newly rebuilt Galleria. It was destroyed in the Northridge quake and it's now an outdoor mall, it's actually quite nice, but it was still strange walking around there.
