Remaking another good movie for no reason - Poltergeist

This is inherently wrong. Steven Spielberg isn’t attached to this production, which means it will suck horribly.
Poltergeist Director Found?
MGM in talks with helmer.
by Orlando Parfitt, IGN UK
UK, September 2, 2008 - The Poltergeist remake has a director, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Apparently Vadim Perelman is in negotiations to develop MGM’s reboot of the Steven Spielberg-scripted horror classic.
Perelman made his name with the well received drama House of Sound and Fog (with Ben Kingsley), whilst his last effort, the Uma Thurman starrer The Life Before Her Eyes, is as-yet unreleased.
The 1982 film revolved around a family who move into a new house, only to find it haunted by the titular evil spirit.
Boogeyman scribes Juliet Snowden and Stiles White have already been hired to write the script.

I remember this movie scaring the C R A P out of me when I was a kid; was also my first movie showing someone smoking pot. So maybe I should credit this movie with my personal vendetta against drugs! :teehee
