The UK's first Jedi course teaching personal development through a Star Wars syllabus will open to students at Queen's University in Belfast from November.
According to its publicity material, the course, Feel the Force: How to Train in the Jedi Way, teaches the real-life psychological techniques behind Jedi mind tricks.
It also claims to examine the wider issues behind the Star Wars universe, like balance, destiny, dualism, fatherhood and fascism.
The university says it hopes to attract young Star Wars fans and introduce them to education through open learning.
No prior qualifications are required and the blurb informs students that light sabres are not provided.

It had to be Irish didn't it LOL I just KNOW that my son will think that is about the best thing ever and will want to go.

Mind you, he is only 8 and is allowed to pretend he is a Jedi.

Goddamn, people are fucking stupid. Do they really think George Lucas studied real life mindfuck techniques before coming up with the idea of waving your hand in front of a weakminded individual to sway his beliefs? People who learn Klingon and people who try to emulate Jedi are on the same level as scientologists. Someone needs to open a dictionary to the word "fiction" and shove that book so far up each of their asses that the entry is permanently displayed on their optic nerves.
