I have just been through all this. If you preorder with an online store like EA's online store or some of the other ones, you get a beta key that you can then use to download the beta file, which is 9.34 gig. I had to pay 80 bucks aussie for it /sniffles but I am happily downloading now and maybe will get to play some tomorrow.

i was looking at EA , there is a game stop down the road i forgot to look while i was in there earlier .. to much "mom can I, mom look at this , mom can I have, please please, mom , mom , mom ....." I was just ready to leave lol

So how is this game?

i really like it. there's still a couple quirks that need to be fixed at some point but nothing game breaking.

you can start PVP at lvl 1 and its tiered. Though low lvl pvp is just like WoW almost. FFA run around slaughter whatever and hope your side got sense enough to cap objectives for win.

you unlock gear as you lvl ( different lvls of renown gear ) based on your level/renownrank.

What i'm dying to get to is the awesome keep raids. those are so bloody fun in DAOC and i'm sure they'll be better in WAR.

levelling is WoW like if you choose to quest, but there's other ways to grind.

PVP grind or do public quests (pve) grind. loot rewards from that.

im on VG, it finally is relaunched with new content and fixed. A lot of my guild went to warhahammer though

So vanguard is still alive and kicking huh? Is it thriving with players ok?
