Ok lol, thats not the Chris Evans I thought it was. I was expecting the ginger DJ.

Just received this through netflix, and even though I gave it 5 stars, it wasn't THAT great. I thoroughly enjoyed it - the plot is a little hard to follow in some parts, but the premise is pretty good.

The 'Division' was originally created during WW2 when the Nazi's were trying to develop mental warfare by taking gifted people and testing on them to make them stronger. It only resulted in them killing them in the process. Fast forward and the nations of the world have decided to continue the testing - with, of course, the US leading the forefront of the experiments.

Chris Evans is a 2nd generation mover - basically telepathy, but he doesn't practice so he's not as talented as his father was. As a child he watched his father die after receiving a cryptic message to 'help the girl who gives you the flower' is said to him by his father.

There's the love interest, the little girl with the flower, the evil Division, and a plan that had been in the making for more than 15 years.

It's pretty good - little bit of a lame ending, except for the very very end, but I enjoyed it. Plus Chris Evans is WAY hot in it. /purr

There's another movie that sounds like it's in a similar vein - Men who Stare at Goats, I think? Has George Clooney rockin' a 'stash - coming out this fall, I believe.

Also, I did not make the connection between the movie and the men with no shirts - I thought this was the movie based on the novel 'Push'. That movie, though, is called Precious. So my brain got confused a lot :(.

Looks like a fun movie though :).

Dakota Fanning is in this as the girl with the flower. Man she's growing up =x I used to not like her but I'm definitely becoming a fan. Let's hope she stays normal.

Should be interesting to see Fanning in New Moon. That should be quite a departure for her, as far as roles go. Plus I hear she's in another movie with Kristin Stewart, (The Runaways), the Joan Jett one. I've always been a fan though, ever since I Am Sam.

I loved this movie and was ridiculed for it. Go figure. I watched it 3 times so far, and I even ended up buying an album that has a song featured on the movie because I recognized the singer and I love her voice (the song is "The Hop" by Radio Citizen and the singer is Bajka; the song is played when Fanning and Evans first meet up and they're walking around some boats and stuff).

I saw this one a month or so ago now and it was good, but I wouldn't go as far as great. The idea behind it was awesome though.

Hubby and I got a kick out of the screamers.
