UK, October 28, 2008 - Universal is apparently set to make a third theatrical sequel to American Pie, according to Moviehole.

The studio has been continuing the series in recent years with direct-to-DVD spin-offs Band Camp, Naked Mile and Beta House.

These efforts, revolving around peripheral characters (though all starring Eugene Levy) have apparently sold enough copies to convince them there would be interest in a cinema sequel revolving around original raucous teens Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) – both married at the end of American Pie: The Wedding – plus Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Stifler (Seann William Scott).

[/INDENT]Bad idea. Bad, bad idea. I didn’t even bother with the wedding sequel, not since Tara Reid got the bad plastic surgery and especially since they did all those friggin annoying band camp sequels with Stiffler’s little brother. /shudder
