Is he or isn't he?

So I finally got a bank account last week. Was in there for like an hour cos I have no documentations yet to be in the country so they had to get someone in to vouch for me etc etc (I don't need a visa to enter the country, but I still have to apply for permanant residence and stuff).
The guy dealing with me is also new to Canada...not quite so new as me as he was working for the bank, but he only just moved to this town. He was quite cute if you are into the Korean look. So he was a bit nervous cos I think I was his first customer opening an account.

But anyway, today I get this letter in the mail (my first mail! :D Which had my real name on it which confused Ria as they all call me Jet lol). It was a Thank You card from TD bank. I figured it would be the standard printed BS you get from some companies, but no!
It was all handwritten (and damned nice handwriting for a guy! o.O) -

Dear Michelle,

Thank you so much for coming to into our branch today and your great patience with me. I was so glad that I could help you settle down here a bit. Thanks for giving me that opportunity. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to visit me anytime.
Welcome to Canada and lets find out what this country is like together :) (yes he even put a smilley!)
God bless you Michelle

So I let my room mate read it cos shes like wtf I never got a letter from the bank. She says he's hitting on me and that I should write back.
Im not so sure, cos I mean maybe banks are just much more friendly over here or maybe he really is hitting on me.

Whatchas think?

That strikes me as a little... creepy. Like, stalker-ish. Of course, what the heck do I know about this stuff, been married and out of the loop for almost 14 years now ;)

If you DO reply, let us know what happens!! :yes

Well, when I worked for a bank I would sometimes send out personal notes to our regular customers, like if they had ordered a new cheque book or something they had to come collect at the branch, I would send them a little handwritten note letting them know. I just thought it was nicer than the plain old "with compliments" slip.

I dunno about the whole "find out about the country together" dealio though. If you liked him it couldn't hurt to meet him for coffee in his lunchbreak though. Keeps it neutral and safe. If nothing comes of it at least you made a new friend!

Stop by and personally thank him. Nothing overt, just say 'hey I got your note, that's is awesome customer service! Thank you!' Offer to let his manager know, too.

You send a note, he could misinterpret just like you might be doing. You gotta stop in for something right?
