Agreed.

EQ's marketing is horrendus and has been as far back as I can remember. I started playing EQ back in 2003 and ever since then I cant even remember a single commercial about the game or even trying to advertise it.

I dont know much about EQII but its more of the same there.

The only EQ commercial I remember was one for EQOA... "Time to slay the dragon!"

Wow, that was REALLY old! And was that Warrick Brown in there? The second guy looked like the guy who played Edward Cullen in Twilight, too...

When EQ2 released they actually did like a 10 minute commercial that played at the movie theater before the movie started. But it doesn't compare to the commercials that WoW does.

That was part of it, yes. They also had interviews with people at Sony that made the game and had clips of whoeverthehell famous composer they had do the music, and talked with whats his name (Sauron from LotR) and Heather Graham since they were the voices of Sir Lucan in Freeport and the Queen in Qeynos. The whole thing ran like 10 minutes.
