Golden Globe Nominations

Dark Knight got 1? Granted it’s for Heath, but still. =(

If you haven’t seen ‘In Bruges’ yet, go see it right the fuck now. It’s starring Colin Farrell and the guy who plays Voldemort (Ralph Finnes). It is sad, funny, hysterical, and depressing all wrapped in one. Colin Farrell was incredible as a guilt ridden killer who’s waiting in Bruges after a fucked up hit with his older partner. Ralph Finnes is his really pissed off boss.

I’m sure Curious Case of the button guy will sweep. So will 30 rock.

Wow - the major networks are truly failing these days. None have a drama in contention, and only one has a mini-series nominated. They did slightly better with 2 of the 5 comedy series, but an overall very lack luster showing for actors and actresses in comedy and drama series too.

John Adams was a super mini-series, with Giamatti and Linley pulling off fabulous performances.

Burn After Reading was hilarious, with awesome performances by McDormand, and Pitt.

Milk was inspiring, and Sean Penn his usual fabulous self.

Slumdog Millionaire should have been placed in the Foreign Film catagory, IMO.

Doubt, Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon, The Reader, and Revolutionary Road are on my list to see, but haven't been released here yet.

I ADORED Mama Mia, but seriously...an Oscar? Not going to happen.

Poor Heath.

That role he played as the Joker was one of the best acting jobs I have seen in the Movie industry in a long LONG time. Heath Ledger playing the Joker stole the show away from Batman. In a movie centered around Batman....I wanted to see the Joker...I wanted more of the Joker....That movie left me wanting to see the Joker again......I never cared about Batman.

Its one of those performances that skyrockets a Movie career.

But we'll never know now.
