Ya i think me and Katie are going to go if shes good. I just really enjoyed the books, so of course I know something will get fucked up in the movie lol.
I just wanted to say - how does Brandon Fraiser keep getting movie roles? Don't get me wrong, he's absolutely handsome and I loved him in the Mummy movies (didn't see the last one though), but after disappearing for like 10 years, he's popped up in like 5 movies or some shit lol. Just odd.
lol - if you check out his bio on IMDB, you'll see he really hasn't been gone at all, and has had some kind of work come out every year since 1990. However a few pieces have just been cartoon voice overs, so that might account for his seemingly disappearance.
I think I read somewhere recently too that he's in the middle of getting divorced or just got divorced or some shit. Maybe he has alimony now to have to pay :P
/points at Lachae's sig I was trying to remember who else on here had read those books hehe.
Katie and I went to go see it after she got out of school today and I was quite pleasantly surprised really. There were a few things they changed, but I'm pretty sure it had to do with what rights they were able to obtain for the miscellaneous characters that get "read out" of books, and I thought they did a nice job of rewriting the script to fit the different characters. I wasn't as terribly impressed however with the bad guys as I was in the book. They were just not nearly as terrifying as the book makes them out to be, but they weren't too horribly cheesy either. Katie was pretty much mesmerized through the whole thing so will prolly buy this when it comes out on DVD
Ah that's good to know Lil I was worried lol. I still haven't read the last book, bought it the day it came out too. Need to get offa my butt! Glad Katie liked it so much
Same, we went right after school to see it. I agree with Lil and the lack of suspence and full character but it wasn't bad I got to say that Paul makes a perfect Dustfinger and I vote he keeps the hair dammit lol
I finally got off my ass and read the last book last night (yes I read that fast...read New Moon today too lol) If the keep the cast and do the whole series of books, I think I will like Brendan Frasier in his role a bit better by the end. Something just seemed, missing, about his character in the movie. I'm thinking now that its just that that particular character isn't any where near fully developed yet. Sort of like Snape in a way, whether you loved or hated him, you just really didnt know him till the very end.
