Virginia Tech

It is a nice little town, and a great school! I went to VT and really loved the school, the atmosphere and the classes. For as big of a school as it is, it still has a small town feel to it. Yea a lot of the first year classes are your normal huge no one knows anyone classes, but as you get into your core curriculum, the classes are a lot like a small town community college or something.

But man walking across the damned field on those cold winter days in that wind tunnel are not days I want to repeat :)

That's going to reflect poorly on the asian community, I bet. =/ It does look like a really beautiful area, hopefully there's no stigma attached to the school.

VT is right on the border and a nice area - and one of the top geological schools in the nation

Uh... that makes it sound like they're seriously understating their relationship. If someone's in your emergency contact records, you're probably extremely close. Unless they're implying that they're making an assumption due to mutual contacts?
