A little advice?

I'm still learning, so I would love some advice on how this render turned out. :) I've been working at this for quite some time, but I saw this armor and bam she was made. :)
How could I fix the hair around the horns to look a bit more realistic with out actually drawing hair? I'm kinda the suck at that part. Any other tips are welcome as well! :)
The background is a little grainy, that was from my dumb ass for not turning up the graphics. ;)

What I would do, is dupe your layer that she's on, then pull out the smudge tool. Bring some of that hair above the horns down over. You may have to do a lil painting to add in some strands ;) As for the background, blur it a bit to give her some depth of field and then you won't have to worry about the grainy bits *nod nod* She's lookin' awesome btw. Tho I says cheater cheater for not showing all the way down to her legs! *note* I have not done my own draenei so feel free to smack me upside the head for that one :D

I'll give that a go, I had blurred the background a bit originally and changed it should have left it go! hehe

I didn't do the legs because I couldn't get them to match the color of her body, i so suck at texturing skin. hehe :P Someday!

LoL Exactly the reason my poor hunter is still waiting for me to do her ;)

You had me curious, I think I managed to make the legs match her body texture!
I basicly opened up the limbs texture of Devon cut out a smallish square of even skin and then went and textured the legs/hooves like I was making clothing. I didn't know what to use texture wise in a pinch for the black of the hooves, so I just used leather. Since I shaded her skin I just took and copied the colors down to the legs then as well. I wouldn't normally hack apart someones textures..okay sometimes I do, but I always put it back, honestly! :P But I figured since it was for myself it wouldn't matter to much.

There's nothing done to this straight outta the box, but It actually worked! lol I was pretty shocked. Hope this helps any of you trying to do this as well. :)

Not bad! Might have to give that a try myself, or maybe I'll slap some chain shaders on her legs *giggle*

Another suggestion for the hair if you're not liking the smudge tip.. I know when I try that I get a blob =x Remember the clone tool is your friend, and with a lil fine eraser brushwork and even some dodge/burn if needed it can blend wonderfully!

Something that I have often done to blend 2 things together is to do a second render, in this case just a spot render of her head with the horns hidden. Layer it underneath the original, and then use your eraser on the top layer to soften the line between her hair and horns. After that I would prolly draw in a few strands to further blend it, but you really shouldn't need to draw a whole lot in.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions everyone! :D

I'm currently working on a second render of her full body, I'm taking my time with it to get everything as good as I can first time around. I'm really having a lot of fun with this one though, I feel the quality of it is so much better than my others. I will post a finished one here if you don't already see it on DA.

I use heavenly hair brushes from rendo but like mentioned I would do a spot render with and without the horns then layer and erase. About the background I usually dup the original then use a gaussian blur about 3. then section set to feather at 100 then earse a bit of the ground closest to her but i do stuff the hard way hehe but what can i say it works for me lol
She looks great :D

I finally managed to get back to this and finish it. I'm not sure if I like how it turned out or not.
