Hair texture tutorial?

I've been trying to figure out how to texture hair now that I managed to get down clothing and skin.

Do any of you happen to know of any good tutorials out there to get started?

I'd love to find a nice clear step by step of how to texture anything lol. There's not enough colours out there for the armors I have!

I found this one http://talismandesigns.blogspot.com/2007/09/creating-seamless-prim-hair-textures-in.html and I think it could work for poser hair...just use the original transmaps.....mebbe..

omg! i'm so gonna have to try this , i've always wanted to make textures but never really found a tut that i could understand some what hehe s:

Cool, thanks! Do you have to use PSP or does Photoshop do it the same way?

I actually used gimp when I first learned with it. I would think it's just a tiny bit of adaption for Photoshop, I did not have any problems with Gimp.

Kk, I'll have to try it soon I'm just not so savvy with all the fancy tools in Photoshop, I only use the brushes and the text lol.
