A few things to keep in mind:
lighting - your girl looks brighter than the background. In photoshop you can accomplish this with alt L to adjust the levels without washing out or darkening it too much.
pose - it's a cute pose, but her arms and legs don't look natural. Her left arm could use a little bit of a bend and I think what keeps bringing my eye back to her feet are her missing shoes. Stockings but no shoes? Comfy yes, lol, but it draws the eye all over the place.
Your font placement is good - but toss it up some by googling some font text effects. Simple outer glow stands out more than I think you'd like it to.
Over all, doing better. Remember lighting, shadows, and keep googling for new font tricks. =)

shes cute love that hair to! :D Nice job on her I don't have any helpful feedback that Roz hasn't covered already other then i probably would have done some DoF since shes blue and everything else is as well the far back tends to fight for attention rather then having your eye roam the whole piece (poi)

What program are you using to postwork in? There are tons and style freebies out there for Photoshop. Dunno about the rest!
