Questions for you Netflix users (/eye Roz!)

There are like 40k movies or something - there are movies in there I haven't seen in years. Their horror section is ridiculously large, too. Everything is categorized and they provide suggestions according to what you rate and set your preferences to.

The turn around for me is 3 days. If I put it in the mail on Monday, they ship Tuesday, and I receive on Wednesday. Odds are there is a warehouse near you. There's even one in Anchorage.

You set up a queue in the order that you'd like to receive something. It lets you know what kind of wait it is (usually no wait at all) unless it's a brand new, really popular movie or something people are anticipating like Tron. It's a super long wait but I'm sure that's because people got all crazy when they saw the Tron2 trailer. I know I did =x

You can save movies that aren't out on dvd yet. If there's an estimated time - like Wolverine coming out in september - it'll let you know and it'll put it directly in your queue when you saved it. Plus you can bump up its priority.

I get 2 dvds for 15 bucks a month. That's practically 1 trip to Blockbuster. You keep it as long as you want and they provide you with shipping envelopes so shipping is free. My father has the 5 dvd deal and that's 20ish a month, I think. It would only cost 3 bucks to bump up to 3 dvds for me.

Oh, not to mention they have movies you can watch instantly on your computer. Plus if you have a computer set up to your tv, you can just watch it directly there. I watch a movie a night now after the kids go to bed, it's pretty neat.

I think you'll like it. The site is set up pretty cool and I look at it every single day. 160 movies in queue, 30 in my instant queue. Oh if you sign up, give me your email address - that way you can see what I have in my queue and what I've seen and vice versa.

There is no real porn though. =(

As I said before I thought it sounded stupid and then my GF got it anyway - we love it. The turn around is so fast - I would say 3-4 days for us, but we have the 3 dvd deal so no big deal. We haven't had any issue finding whatever we want- including some obscure stuff - and the only things I've seen we've had to wait on have been new releases. They also have about every show that came out on dvd - and thousands of movie are on instant queue - meaning you can just download them and stream them on y our computer or xbox360 - it typically isn't good new movies, but I would be willing to bet there are several hundred horror movies, and there are lots of 80s tv shows all on instant - a few new shows too.
