Shameless self-promotion

I am doing my fun-run dealio again this year. Last year I ran the 9km course in 75 minutes, this year I plan to go under 60. The event raises funds for various charities and as part of registration you can elect which charity gets the money your raise personally. I elected the Cancer Council, it is Australia's largest and broadest cancer research unit. I have lost family and friends to cancer, as I am sure most of us here have. I feel it is a small way I can contribute in a positive, healthy way, rather than just buying a daffodil or a ribbon.

If you can find some dollars to add to my fundraising efforts I would be grateful. It doesn't have to be much, I figure if everyone I knew could chip in a cup of coffee or a movie ticket's worth then I would have a fair sum at the end of it. I am putting in $15 which is 5 dollars each for my aunty who died at 28, my hubbies best friend who died at 30, and my best friend from school who died at 13. Like I said, it all counts and it all adds up. I know most of you all live in the USA and so perhaps you may not like to contribute to an Aussie charity. That's cool and I understand that some might feel that way. I just figure if there is money in the hands of researchers, it doesn't matter which country the cure comes from :)

Anyway, here's my sponsorship page linkage:
