Starring the bride from Harper's Island, plus I think she's in the new Melrose Place.

I do not like horror movies, and I do not like the old Nightmare on Elm Street movies, but this... this looks pretty interesting.

Is it the same guy who did Rorschach that is doing Freddy?

To me, it looks more like the guy who plays Willy Wonka in the original.

hrmmmm
I was a fan of Part 1 and Dream Warriors. But the rest of those old Elm Street movies were kind of boring to me.
This one does look kinda cool though.
I was always a Michael and Jason fan over Freddy though.

Freddy is my favorite no matter how dumbed down with humor they became. Yes, it's Rorschach... loved him as that character and hope he does this horror icon justice. It's gonna be so hard not seeing Robert.

He's an amazing actor. I absolutely LOVED him in Watchmen. He was the only, really dark and questionable 'hero' in the story. Plus he played him just fucking awesome.

I don't know if I could get use to a Nightmare on Elm Street without Robert England.

Englund *was* playing a part in this movie.
And also, most horror flick icons (Jason, Michael etc) rarely attain the original character and use different actors through out.

Oh my lovely lovely Nightmare on Elm Street. <3 My favorite horror icon as well. I'm going to assume they are going with the "serious, more terrifying" Freddy than the one that I have grown to love (the punny one lol). While I'm hesitant about the movie, I'm trying to keep an open mind. It will be quite hard to watch a Nightmare on Elm Street without Robert, I agree.

Its what I love about Jason and the 2345454 actors that played him. it didnt really matter, as long as some dude in a hockey mask mass murdered people.

5/10
It had some good scare jump scenes and some good blood/gore shots and it pretty much kept to the original story.
However, the Friday the 13th and Halloween remakes were better (IMO)
Its well worth seeing once.

Gonna see this tomorrow. I'll try not to judge the entire movie just on how much I like or dislike the new Freddy XD

I hate these kinds of movies. . .can't they just let the guy die? I mean everyone in these movies seems so wimpy. I think they ought to get more with the age of comuter games and such. What if Freddy and Jason came up against someone who played WoW or Everquest? Now that I would like to see!

Keep in mind, these are remakes. Not add-ons to the series.
