01022010 Palindrome day

Confused about Palindrome day? Some of you know what a Palindrome is and many of you don’t, so let’s starts with the basics. A palindrome is a word, phrase, number or other sequence of units that can be read the same way in either direction (the adjustment of punctuation and spaces between words is generally permitted).

So how so we prove that today is Palindrome day? What date is it today? It’s January 2nd, 2010. We can also write it as 01/02/2010. So if we try to read it from the either direction exempting punctuation or spaces, it reads the same.
So leaving the punctuations and spaces, today’s date would be 01022020 and we reverse it, the date would the same i.e. 01022010.
There you go; the mystery of Palindrome is cracked and simplified for you. Take care, cheers and Happy Palindrome Day.

A friend of mine quoted the 01022010 thing in my facebook status. I totally thought it was a Sarah Palin joke. I R SMERT!

It's only a palindrome if you're American, though.
