Dragon Age 2

Bioware announced that the sequel to Dragon Age: Origins will be
available in North America on March 8, 2011
, and in Europe on March 11, 2010. Dragon Age 2 will feature a new art direction, an updated method of storytelling, and faster-paced action. According to Bioware executive producer Mark Darrah, this new, more response combat system will allow players to “think like a general, but fight like a Spartan.” It’s probably safe to assume the Spartan to which he refers is of the Greek , rather than the Reach, variety.
In the sequel, players will be given the role of Hawke, a refugee whose homeland has been destroyed, and who becomes the Champion of Kirkwall. Hawke is intended to be “one of the most important characters” in the Dragon Age universe, and the lore of this character’s “blood-soaked” rise to power will be the driving force behind the story, which will span 10 years in the Dragon Age universe. Players will uniquely experience how the legend unfolds through the choices and allies that they make.

Ok, just finished it.

This game was so damn long /falls off chair and dies. However, I did every single quest that needed to be done, except for like 2 side quests that didn't affect anything. That maybe why it took so damn long, but the ending was sure as shit worth it.

You do see a few of the old characters:

Zevran (briefly and hilariously)
Alistair (depending on how your DA1 ending went. I started fresh so he was King)
Leilana - very ending
Flemeth
Sten - kind of - apparently it's more of a title than a name.
Isabella (pirate chick you can hit it with in the first game, maybe even a threesome if you're lucky and harden Allistair (no pun intended).

You don't get to see Oghren, Morrigan (although she is mentioned), or Wynne.

You get a crap load of teamies though and the abilities are pretty kick ass this time around. Rogues are vicious, mages can be helpful to damn lethal in their abilities, almost overpowering, and then the warrior. You get a lot of mmo kick ass movies with the melee peeps that keeps the game interesting.

Ultimately, it's nothing like Origins. If you've played Mass Effect 3, the choice wheel is exactly the same. Your options aren't quite what you're going to say, but you have a choice of being nice, funny, or domineering. No real gifts like before - you build your relationships through game play with maybe one or two gift items that you give when you visit your person at their house.

I'll tell you though, the smexin' and kissin' is HOT. Way way better than origins. /purr

No Morrigan? W............. T............... F............................ I thought that was going to be a major part of the story. I mean... Half-human, half-dragon-thing baby? Remember that thing?

At least Leliana is in it, and no more Oghren. Maybe I'll buy it.

Er. I didn't think this was out yet, and I just beat Mass Effect 2 today and didn't think 3 was out yet. Am I in some time warp?

Any of you played either of the Bioshocks? That game is win.

Oh, ME2, sorry.

I played part of the first bioshock, but didn't finish it. The controls were a little clunky for me, and it just wasn't quite my style. It wasn't bad though. ME2 was fanfuckingtastic. I'm stoke for DA2. I never played the expansion though.

The expansion was not very good.

Yeah the expansion was short and weak sauce. DA2 is pretty cool, but it is almost a completely different game, which kinda made me sad, but the combat is fucking outrageous. Its instant gratification coupled with some bad ass trees. The Rogue is pretty damn cool - especially your new team player Varric.

One thing you'll notice this time around is that your team players start with some kick ass gear - you can upgrade some of their stuff, but ultimately you really don't have to. Varric's crossbow is fucking sick. Most of the gear you get is for you, and if you preordered, you get really high level weapons to start off with. Didn't have to upgrade my warrior's main 2h weapon until damn near the middle of the game.

Finished with the male warrior who had a romantic relationship with Anders and man the smexin' is strangely fascinating. Starting my second game as a female mage. I swear to you, the mage is so fucking over powered it is ri-goddamn-diculous.
