ROUND 5 MAFIA HIT BOMB FLUSTERCLUCK - Somewhere over the Rainbow

Distraught over the way events on the island had played out Alexander, though leery of the tiger which was still roaming about, wandered through the shadows of the lush tropical vegetation. He was lured by the sound of rustling leaves and running water. The next thing he knew he was in the fog that hovered around the edge of the island. Even in the mist he could smell any number of tropical flowers. Following the sound of a brook deeper into the mist, it became harder and harder to see.

“What no tigers today?”

Alexander turned to see who had spoken but the fog made it impossible to see who it was. But he was suddenly aware he was standing at the edge of a cliff and that he was not hearing the water babbling and rushing but falling on to the rocks below.

“Don't you think tigers are over done?”

“Yeah, and less than reliable too.”

“Apparently that's a problem.”

“You might say that. The forces of nature are much more dependable.”

That made Alexander a bit nervous and he started to try and evade the voice in the fog, but his beaten up leg, which he'd pushed hard to get him out this far, was suddenly failing him. He really shouldn’t have wandered off on his own.

“Which ones?” Alex said stalling for time.

“Gravity is a good one.”

Not wasting any more time the voice leaped out of the fog, became a person; that person used their momentum to shove him over the cliff.

Alex twisted around wildly as he fell, his fingers finding something long and silken... hair. Fine, he could fight like a bitch. He wrapped his hand in it and yanked, feeling something give with satisfaction. She came tumbling after, kicking and clawing, but Alex wrapped himself around her and squeezed for all he was worth. There was a blinding crash; who said water was soft and fluffy? Sure as hell wasn't. Alex saw stars and then everything went black.

When he came to, he was lying on his side at the water's edge. Pretty much every stitch he'd had was torn and the water was red with blood. Too much to just be his, though. He turned his head dizzily and saw his old friend Prince finishing a tasty little snip of a meal.

Not enough of a meal apparently. There was no getting out of this one, but Alex didn't have any fight left. He laughed as the tiger turned, struggled up to his knees, and growled back at it when it made a warning noise.

"I can talk to animals, you know," he said to no one in particular.

Fortunately, the weight of the 500 pound tiger finished the half-done job before he actually felt the teeth in his flesh... again.

~*~*~*~

“Alex! Alex where are you! Oh, why did he have to go off alone?”

“He’s just lost his true love, of course he would be alone!”

“His ‘true love’ the murderer, you mean?”

“Well we’re not sure what’s going on, are we? Anyway even if Christian is a murderer, they’re still so darn cute together. Alex!”

“Kind of mysterious that mere hours after Christian dies, Alex is nowhere to be found…and have you noticed that the yahoo hottie hottie from Florida is missing too? I bet it’s some sort of tryst.”

Adila stopped in her tracks and turned to Miri, incredulous. “Miri, I’m pretty sure Alex is gay.” She had to admit, though, that she didn’t know where Jaz was either, and that was kind of suspicious.

Miri muttered darkly. “It could all be a plot. An enormous gay plot.”

Adila, perhaps fortunately, could not hear the muttering over the sound of the waterfall, but she did pause to observe the rainbow formed in the mist and light. She didn’t even realize how close she was to the cliff until the black helicopter suddenly rose up from below. Both girls hit the ground hard, startled, but Miri quickly returned to her feet again, yelling and jumping up and down.

“YOU STOP RIGHT THERE WE ARE GOING WITH YOU AND GETTING THE FUCK OFF THIS ISLAND RIGHT NOW!”

To both girls’ surprise, the helicopter did stop, and the death crew lowered a rope ladder. They climbed aboard, joining the team.

“Where are the bodies?,” Adila asked in a knowing tone. None of the crew made eye contact, though someone muttered something about “Prince.”

“Prints. The tiger. Huh, so that was his name.” Adila gave a resigned sigh. Kitty had finally gotten his meal. She supposed she couldn’t protect Alex forever.

“Where are you taking us? Nearest airport?”

One of the crew gave a nasty chuckle at Miri’s question.

“Oh no. You’re going to see the TIT man himself.”

/OOC Dun dun dun! The finale will come this evening. If it wasn’t clear, Alex was the bomber and took Jaz with him when he fell, leaving Miri and Adila as the only two living players. No voting tonight. Townies are the win. Grats townies! Stay tuned for the exciting conclusion and post game discussion.
