Luxrender/Daz3d reality

Is this worth it? I think the plug in for Daz3d is like $60, and was wondering if anyone here uses it, finds it worth the money, and how hard/easy it is to actually use. Thanks in advance!

My computer had 6GB ram, quad core and a decent graphics card, and it still hated Poser lol. I don't know what else to feed it to make it like Poser/Daz

Running that - kicked up from ram from before, Nvidia GeoForce GTX 550TI video card which was nicely priced and pretty awesome. I can render in 1/10 the time which is nice.

Make sure you have all the updates loaded too. Sometimes poser likes to crash regardless of your computer's uberness.

I am still mostly using Poser, unless I need to do a short race, which is rarely. I am planning ahead though and grabbing up Genesis stuffs as it comes available with vouchers.

Hey speaking of genesis, do you need the new 'shapes' pack as a requirement like the morphs or are they just preloaded morphs of bodies?

Apparently this was done with genesis - which impressed the hell out of me. Way better than m4, fo sho.

I'm pretty sure they are required. When playing with Genesis with nothing purchased for them I have barely any morph options. It really sucks having to buy everything all over again for them (Gen4 morphs, Creature Creator, etc)

Yeah, I am really not looking forward to buying all of that stuff again either, but the more that comes out for it all, the more excited I get. I wish that Daz4 would get released already, since I promised myself I wouldn't buy anything til it was. Grah!
