I'm rewatching the first 6, have the 7th coming either Monday or Tuesday, and then I think I will actually go to a real live movie theater and see the 8th because OMG I JUST CANT WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT ON DVD THAT TAKES TOO LONG WTF and I want to see the end, so there.

Went all out and did the 3D IMAX for the last one hehe
was fuckawesome, but yeah nothing can really hold up to the books. Lots of stuff just gets lost in translation between paper and film.

Lily (Harry's Mum) was muggle-born, but was a witch. She's like Hermione basically, both her parents are muggles. Her sister was jealous because she couldn't do magic, and Lily got all the attention because of her magic etc etc. Omg man, read the books! :P

Voldemort calls her a filthy muggle, not a mug-blood, so I wondered. I have enough books in my queue that I can safely say it will be years before I read those books. Quicker to just ask here.

Well, if you ever decide you are bored enough to watch them, you can skip the first two and start with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. That's when the real story starts (from the perspective of someone who never read the books); the first two just introduce you to the characters and are sort of throwaways, in terms of overarching story development.
