Burning question of the day
Do you pronounce the "g" in wrong?

I grew up with a girl who's mother insisted she pronounce the ING with a severe G. I dunno, I don't use the hard g when I say Wrong.

I'll tell you if you can give me a definite answer on "a STD" vs. "an STD"

Well in that case...
I try to avoid the word. I prefer "incorrect" or when speaking directly to a person, "you are the weakest link; good bye" still works well.
Okay fine, I say it like Roz. Who uses a hard G? Like "wron-guh"? That shit is weird.

I do, but I have a hillbilly accent sometimes

I have never heard anyone say that before, ever. Maybe I am misunderstanding. I think a demonstration is in order.

I dunno, when I used to sing we were kinda taught not to add the "uh" after D and g and b, etc, while still enunciating the sounds so that they were clear. I think you can pronounce G without the "Uh" afterword hehe.
If it is accent, that is different.. I don't have much of one as far as I can tell.. being from Arizona.. we don't have a lilt or drawl or twang.. or whatever you might call it.

Hard G on words like wrong drive me nuts. Alot of English accents sound like that, some even to the extent of turning a g into a k...for example, many of them will say 'somefink' instead of something. Yes, many have a problem with the 'th' sound too and replace it with an f sound.
Along a similar line...any of you pronounce the h in white? My mums friend used to think it was hilarious that we both pronounced the h. And that I can't say Isle of Wight without saying Whight >.<
