I just finished one I'm kind of proud of. I think I'm getting better with a pencil. This was done taking elements from several pictures, but the pose was designed by me. I'm still working on geting anatomical details right in my drawings, but the proportions are good. (The fella's hand looked better in an earlier draft, but it was too big for the rest of him)

I rushed a bit, since it was for someone and I had to give it to someone else before they left town, but I was still fairly happy with it. The scan is a bit light.
The last one I did before that one (except portraits, which I do all the time and tend to be static, posed close-ups) was a slightly more dynamic figure, for which I had no model at all:

I really like the couple portrait - great shading and full of emotion!

Thank you so much! I'm trying to improve a couple of things in my drawings. One, I want to produce stuff that seems more dynamic, either physically or emotionally, and second to improve over all anatomy.
Maybe some day I'll even try color, or learning to use digital media. *giggle* Baby steps.

Those are great, Olivet!
The climber reminds me of some sci fi or fantasy artwork from books I used to read as a kid; I just can't think of who's artwork it is. I really like her. She does remind me of Ayla from the Clan of the Cave Bear series but that's not the artwork I am trying to remember.
The clothes and the expression are excellent.
As Roz said, the emotion in the top piece is wonderful. Good job on the proportions and expressions.

Ohhh, that baby shower pic is too cute!!!
Some awesome stuff here, I'm totally jealous. I tried freehand...... and laughed really hard at the result.

This one, I only drew the background and symbols on the ponies and I colored the rest.

I have many favorites art pieces in traditional drawings. Sorry to post many images. >.<

That is so cool! I have an issue with color that I am honestly hoping to rectify soon. When I try to draw things manga or cartoon style, I fail miserably. All thumbs.
I am, however, learning to use Photoshop to improve my scans of things I draw. I did a drawing this week that I was very pleased with, mostly because I think it's better than anything I've ever done. It gives me hope that, despite my age, I'm still growing in ability.

I think it was maybe the second thing I've ever drawn that came out exactly the way it looked in my head. O_O

Thank you! I sort of surprised myself with that one, too. I didn't know I could do something like that, really. Plus, learning to use Photoshop for the scan made a big difference.

The flowers are amazing! I hope that was done with a computer and not real life watercolors, because if it was real watercolor, I may actually cry. Painting and I really don't get along, and watercolor is like the leader of the Painting gang. He beat me up in a dark alley once and took my wallet and my shoes. I took a whole year of watercolor class in school and was just absolutely horrible at it.
Also like the sharks, because they are so happy!
And coincidentally, you bumped a post that is filled with My Little Pony images on the week that the weekly sketch topic is My Little Pony.

I love everything, Eire -- the happy sharks, the lovely flowers, and the mood and fabulous energy in those figures! (and the My Little Pony bump)
