Mr. Deeds

This movie came out in 2002 or something, but I'm not sure I ever heard of it. It got really bad reviews pretty much everywhere, but man, I thought it was hilarious. This is probably the only Adam Sandler movie I've enjoyed since Happy Gilmore. It's just a reboot of some other, supposedly better, version of the same story, but whatever. John Turturro is great in it, and Winona Ryder is rather attractive, and maybe even a good actor; I'm not much of a judge of these things when it comes to attractive women due to being distracted by their attractiveness and stuff, but put it this way: she's a hell of a lot better than, say, Keanu Reeves. I didn't think she deserved the negative reviews about how "wooden" her performance was.

The movie also has Steve Buscemi and the guy who plays Moriarti in Sherlock Holmes: a Game of Shadows as well as the guy who is teleported out of prison in season 2 (1?) of Fringe. You know... that guy. It also has other people.

Disclaimer: This trailer is pretty bad and makes the movie seem dumb. The "funny" parts they include aren't even the actual funny parts of the movie really.

Haha, I agree totally. She's also less evil than Hitler.

P.S.: If this gets the Pharren seal of approval, I'll check it out.

I enjoyed the old movie as well; this remake is actually very true to the original while adding the Adam Sandler weirdness.

I remember liking it, but not thinking it was great or anything. The butler was fun

I agree - worth watching, good cast and its very funny. It is also BY FAR the hottest I have ever seen Winona Ryder. Never before and never since has she looked quite as good.
