Blade Runner - Day 3 ooc

Ok. I think Anabel was Mafia. Her death scene makes me still think she had issues and could have killed people. Therefore - Looking over the last vote at who didn't vote for her v who did vote for her early. She voted for Jed, and Jed voted for her. So if we were right about Anabel then that means Jed is a townie. Caitlinn also seems to be a townie, although I haven't ever suspected her anyway. So lets look at who voted for Jed.

Etric/Jarvis - He has been quiet - I think due to work, but not sure. It is very possible he is mafia - or maybe he is townie and honestly believed it was Jed. I believe Etric may be mafia.

MEC/Marcus Crowley - I think he is godfather. His ID came back not mafia (thats right I'm bold). He voted for Jed, then Caitlinn, then back to Jed. More on this later. On top of that he has cash supposedly from his parents but no family here. It would make sense that if they dumped their new prize android in a hurry to blend in then they wouldn't have already gone through all the paperowork to get him a working job and history. Instead give him an inheritance and waalah he has cash to live on. Going on the assumption that Anabel was indeed mafia, and that mafia voted this round at all - then these are the only 2 people that we can know for sure are mafia. Now it doesn't mean that a mafia had to vote for Jed, but it fits - and the people that didn't vote for Jed or Anabel I don't suspect at all. MEC cannot be mafia, he is either godfather, or innocent.

Who didn't vote for Anabel?

Pharren/Simon - I haven't suspect Pharren yet for reasons I've already stated. Not to mention we talk in AIM constantly and if he isn't a townie then he'd have to be pulling off a scam the size of which i don't think someone this new to the game could do (he still has alot of questions, and the stuff he says is blatently townie) I believe Pharren is a townie

Jinheim and Vulash - This was a setup. My vote was a fake. I never suspected Caitlinn. I did it to cause a little chaos. My reasoning was this. I'm very outspoken in the game, and in this game the more bold outspoken people can generally garner a little support for votes if they want. Knowing this I voted for someone that the facts simply don't support. Why would someone else vote for Caitlinn with no facts? A townie votes and thinks about who he really feels may be guilty - they need something - anything - to make them feel their vote is valid. I can't see a townie blindly voting for Caitlinn simply because I did. A mafia however doesn't care about that. They vote for positioning. For mafia its about going with the flow against a townie. If a mafia is top contender then you through in the 2nd highest with a townie and try to get support (see Anabel vs Jed votes). If a townie is already top contender and will get hung then you simply either vote for them, or vote for someone else since it doesn't matter so there is no trail. This wasn't the case last night. After I posted my vote for Caitlinn MEC changed his vote to Caitlinn also. Why would a townie do that? A mafia or GF though...would possibly think that I'd get support and Caitlinn was a better bet to get heat off Anabel then Jed. At that point there was only one other Jed vote I believe. Anabel then logs in and about 10 minutes later MEC changes his back to Jed. Did they talk perhaps? After that exchange I wanted more - I discussed my ploy with Jin since he was questioning and we had him write up a post questioning me, and then he voted for me. All of this was simply to stir things up and get people to post and slip up. Unfortunately we didn't get many more posts before voting was over. Because Jinheim upheld his part of this and because I didn't get hit last night I think he is indeed a townie.

All other votes were for Anabel. So who is left?

Dana/Rasberry - it was brought up on IM that Rasberry could still be GF (how awesome would that be) and had voted for anabel because it was a lost cause and to save face. But at that point it was 4 for anabel and 3 for jed so she could have forced a tie - or at least thought she could (I was ready to change my vote if needed). Because of this I don't think she is GF. Also I IDed her and she came up not mafia. Serial Killer? Possibly, but I have no reason to think she is or isn't.

Caitlinn - Obviously not mafia - they hit her. Serial Killer? I see no evidence to support it and no reason to think she is anything but a townie.

Jed - Same as above. I think Jed is a townie.

Larene - Larene has been quiet this game. My one conversation with her leads me to believe she is a townie, but she was a bit questioning at one poitn about some things. I'm unsure on Larene. I don't think she is Mafia, but I do think its possible she is the SK.

Geeii - I don't think is mafia. He voted for Anabel. I think he is most likely candidate for SK. It fits his story. Android supporter until they ruin his career after he was supposed to be teaching the old arts, religions and philosophies? I think maybe to much drug use, ruined career, and a good motive could have drove him over the edge. He talks to himself alot too

Thats everyone. So here are my lists in ranking order. All guesswork and all this is assuming Anabel was indeed mafia.

I'll rank each position and the order I think most likely

GF 1) MEC 2) Etric
Mafia 1) Etric 2) who knows
SK 1) Geeii 2) Larene

I'm also pretty confident I know who the good positions are but I won't reveal those for the mafia to hit, except that it is obvious I am the sheriff. And in revealing this I have a very likely chance of being hit - except that now the doctor knows to shield me and because of this the mafia may not want to waste another hit. Ah well the plot thickens.

I first voted for JACOB not JED! I voted for jacob because I thought he might be the sk but then retracted that, I voted for caitlinn because of the reasons I said in the voting thread, but no one sees what I'm saying so I switched my vote to Jed because I felt he was much more likely to be one of the killers then anabel, and I didn't want anabel to die because I don't really see any substantial clues that she is a killer.

(as in WOW IM SHOCKED and also WOW World of Warcraft, which im about to go play while i think things over. god im so clever)

THE *FAILED* MAFIA HIT (thats gotta hurt)

heres what i see (and these may or may not even be clues). first of all the title of the thread is "epiphany", which means "a revelatory manifestation of a divine being", "sudden manifestation of the essence or meaning of something", and "a comprehension or perception of reality by means of a sudden intuitive realization". i believe the title refers to both the first definition and the third.

1.)
the mafia person seems to be pretty swift. maybe some ex-military or some other type of person who would be trained in combat. judging from player profiles, thats nobody. not much of a clue unless im missing it at the very least, the person is physically fit.

2.)
two possible clues here:
a.) caitlinn calls her killer "little". this might be a derrogatory figure of speech ("you little bitch!") or the mafia person might actually be little.
b.) the cat jumps onto the bed and begins meowing. why? does it like the person? is it familiar with them? is it attracted to them because of a scent? maybe the scent of another animal? or maybe food? i think this is a pretty huge clue, who it points to is another question.

3.)
if they were fleeing, why fire two shots? why didnt they fire one and flee? why didnt they stand and fire seven shots and THEN flee? obviously they werent looking when they shot, since they ended up hitting caitlinn in the shoulder. i have a strong feeling this is symbolism, and that it confirms the suspicion that anabel was mafia. on day 1, there were three paramedics (and i laughed at this being symbolic of anything). now, two shots fired. seems to me that it would indicate one less mafia and two remaining, if there were indeed three to begin with.

4.)
is this "biological agent, the android killer" what was used to kill rufus? when the androids found out the rosen company was going to use it on them, maybe they stole all/some of it. but if so, why didnt they use it on all their hits? were they certain rufus was an android, and thats why it was used on him? it still doesnt explain the excessive cleaning, but its a start.

big big clues here imo. as for the title, "watch your back", im a bit confused.

1.)
dana is nervous (a strange thing for an android, but these are the new models i guess) and it had been a long night? long because you were out trying to assassinate people, dana?

2.)
this might be a bit of a stretch, but to me it looks like dana was only expecting one person, which reinforces my earlier theory that there were 3 mafia originally and only two remaining (and dana is one). the doctor's save on caitlinn couldnt possibly be enough in and of itself to have dana so flustered, could it? vulash claims to be the sherriff, and says he IDed dana. she came back "not mafia" which could only mean she was the godfather (godmother??), or i am totally reading the clues wrong.

3.)
the biggest clue so far, other than the ones pointing to dana as the godfather/mother. whos face is "all too familiar" to dana? well, lets see... who was the last person dana had contact with (other than whoever remains of the mafia perhaps)?

"It’s Dana again..." and "I was wondering if you had any of that tuna left..." both point to the fact that they have had previous contact. now, sure, i suppose you could say "well they live in the same apartment, everyones face would be familiar to her". not so. simon just moved in recently, as did caitlinn. dana herself admits she didnt know rufus


so in fact, the only person dana has ever spoken to that we know of, is tyler.

there is too much evidence pointing to tyler as the SK to just ignore. on day 1, people were ready to lynch him. hes a drug addict, which obviously makes people crazy. ive heard stories of people on PCP being shot up by the police and surviving, and other amazing feats of strength. hes also very smart... no, hes a genius. hes a medical doctor as well as a professor of philosophy AND religion. several other people have pointed to him as the serial killer all along, as recent as today.

Seems like Caitlinn knows that she CAN somehow get the person back.

She may have convinced the doctor to save her, and the other mafia members to hit her. It's not unprecedented.



Oh, and as you can see in my prfile I HAVE A SISTER ON EARTH.

I'm still not certain that Tyler is the SK, although there is evidence to suggest it. I think Dana's story about the can of tuna was to IMPLICATE him. In it he's passed out already and doesn't even speak to her. He's friendly to everyone, not just Caitlinn. He probably would have tried to help the little girl. No, it was planned.

I do think Dana was the god father.



I'm fairly certain Catilinn would've said plenty more without a gun to her face. Also the fact that her cat wasn't afraid of the attacker, it probably did smell the other cat on Dana. I didnt think of it before, but Pharren's point about the 2 shots being significant makes sense. There were 2 left and with the SK snipe, now only 1 mafia. I still think Anabel was mafia, if only to help me sleep at night.

That would clear up MEC as GF mafia but not as SK but now I have my doubts all around on my other theories. Pharren the 2 shots theory is awesome.

Wow, Pharren good work, I am impressed. But, you are a bit off.

I too thought the 'familiar face' was important...however, I look at it a different way:

could mean 1 of 2 things:
1) A frequent poster, that leaves mostly me, mae, pharren, and vulash - with throwouts to jinheim and pulvani..

2) Someone likely to be seen around the apartment a lot. 2 people that come to mind are mechanics (for 'fixing' animals) and the janitor/handyman. He mentions not only custodial tasks, but things such as changing locks, fixing broken doors / other small apartment mess ups.

Futhermore, his fear of androids can be justified by the fact he was surrounded by them more heavily to start....he works for Rosen corp.

Finally, and most importantly, I believe, is the change in tone of the SK's ramblings.

Pre Day 1:

Survival.

Why the sudden change? They are 'after him, all after him.' Jed was incriminated the night before, heavily, the 2nd most...Hence the sudden change in tone...

I'll help - I've known he was doctor, and voted him on purpose - I will be changing now.

I was wavering, trying to be overly cautious but if the Vulash believes him...changed my vote.

I find it pretty funny that Vulash was pretty convinced that I was a townie until Geeii started getting a lot of votes. He said that Geeii was the "most likely candidate for SK," yet when we all started voting for Geeii, oops he changed his vote. So if Vulash was so convinced I was townie, then when he changed his vote why did he change it to me? why not pick someone else that was actually on the list he created?

My list assumed Anabel was mafia from her death scene. After Dana's death scene it seems far more likely that Dana was GF and therefore Anabel was not mafia afterall.

Personally...I'm still iffy on my vote to be honest. What's causing the most suspicion are those who choose to not voice an opinion.

Exactly! That's what's so frustrating. Makes this game difficult, but also fun hehehe

Basically, if I don't get lynched, by stating I am a doctor straight out I see 3 things happening

1) we lynch the sk - mafia's biggest threat is vulash - they off him
2)we lynch the last mafia - sk's biggest threat is me - i get offed.
3) we lynch a townie - both are still alive and 2 hits happen
4) I get lynched and both are still alive, with nobody to protect vulash, in which case, the last 2 powerful townies are down and it is going to take some good work killing the rest of the threats..
