Kk, since the mafia hit seemed somewhat lacking in clues I'm gonna try and hash it out some.
I’m going to start from the end. She said one word to her killer: You
Ophelia was decidedly suspicious from day one:
Following closely to the edges of the group, Ophelia began eyeing the movements of everyone around her to look for the smallest indication that one of them could be a killer.
From this I would come to think that the exclamation meant that her killer was someone she had become more familiar with and hadn't been expecting to turn on her. The tone almost seemed one of betrayal (well, how much tone can you glean from a single typed word, but still it felt that way to me).
So who was she getting more familiar with?
Maelarya disengaged herself from Isaac's grasp and sauntered over to Ophelia. 'I'm thirtsy,' she purred at Ophelia. 'Fix me a drink?'
Ophelia flashed a mischevious grin. "Brandy?" She sauntered over to the bar and started pouring.
As to the method of death. I think the clue is in the drink itself, not what may or may not have been put in it. In other words, I don’t think its a coincidence that Maelarya and Ophelia had been drinking brandy together not an hour before her death (though I'm sure Ophelia had probably been drinking Brandy the hour prior and the one prior to that etc. etc....).
I hate to point fingers this early in the day, but my money is on Maelarya (sorry Mae, you know I lub you lol)
