I play horde, so I'm not too familiar with the Alliance side of things, but I have typically found that the best way to level is through questing.
Not only do you get the exp for all the mobs you kill, you get an additional bump of exp for the turn in. Unless it's a very long commute to the quest giver, it's hard to beat that kind of exp. Not to mention the free loot you get from the quests.
However, now with the implementation of the honor system (which I have a burning, seething, hatred for), it will become very difficult to quest at that level on a PVE server, and next to impossible on a PVP server. People are forming raids to take out opposing faction NPC quest givers, merchants, bankers, inkeepers, wind rinders.. everything they can do to get honor points. If you play on a PVP server, forget it. They have packs of people roaming exp areas taking out people soloing or duoing. Levels haven't seemed to matter, level 60s are taking out lower levels for fun.
Oh god, and the LAG. Massive amounts of lag EVERYWHERE. Cities are especially horrible, but no zone seems to be safe. My insta cast nukes are now taking about 5 seconds to cast.
Have I mentioned I ***HATE*** the honor system? :arg
LF....
Looking for good WoW leveling guide(s) for Alliance (29 Pally / 25 Rogue is what I play) legit or shady (not that I would choose shady over legit, lets just say I'm curious) Anyway, just looking to maximize my time. If I need to XP grind more or more questing. Tips, tricks anyone? I dig the questing in this game, so that's pretty much all I do. But if I can get to at least 40 quicker I'd like to try.
Hook a brownie up. All I've found is garbage so far.

heh..it will settle down.
I have found that grouping with a few close friends and repeatedly fillinf and emptying your quest log is the best way to level. exp, for each creature, exp at turn in, exp for exploration...grining doesn't give you that...or so I'm finding out.

Grinding Humanoids is the fastest if you can stomach it. I personally quest to break the monotany.
Lower level into the teens = quest
after = grind humanoids

Can't really imagine why someone would want to grind in a game with so many other options to advance.

He asked for the fastest way. I don't grind unless I"m out of quests

What I did was go to an area and get all the quests, and do a quick analysis to see the most efficient way to get them all done. Usually they are interconnected, or involve killing mobs that are near each other. So, I would go and knock out 5 at once and then go turn them in and get 1/2 a level for it.
However, it would probably have been faster to just grind mobs. Like someone else said, the best things to grind on are humanoids, preferably casters or harpies or something with pussy hp and ac. At least, it would be faster for your rogue b/c they kill fast. Your paladin is worthless and I would just delete it now.

i wrote this for my old guild, you can use it tho
levels 1-11
Newbie starting area. They should give you enough xp to get you to 11. or close to it.
11-15
Westfall - different farms have a variety of quests, and also visit Sentinel Hill
16-24
Lakeshire - lots and lots of quests to do, a few elite quests as well. Will need aid on some of them. You may need to put off some of the quests until mid 20s
21-30
Duskwood - Darkshire has many quests , also visit Raven Hill and Sven's outpost in the very NW corner of the zone
Wetlands - Menethil Harbor gives some great quests as well. a few of them just right outside the town.
30-40
Stranglethorn Vale - Rebel Camp gives 3-4 quests @ lvl 30, doable with a partner or group. Also visit the Hunter's expedition camp ( just sw of rebel camp, on the water's edge ) for tons of kill X quests. Booty Bay is at the very southern tip of the zone, Dangerous trek for a lvl 30 but worth the run in the next few levels, as there's a few easy quests to do.
Hillsbrad (Southshore) - best for low 30s, but you do get a couple quests that are orange even at 35.
Arathi Highlands (Refuge Pointe) - gives you some lvl 34ish+ quests to do, a couple earlier ones. Easy enough. Also there's a floating crystal north of RP that gives a collect quest for a cave thats in the NE corner (just east of hammerfall)
Desolace - Visit Nijel's Pointe for quite a few quests. The most important one being Slaying 30 Ravagers from Brother Anton. This leads to the Scarlet Monastary quest ( ie. phat lewtz ) there's a few more NPCs in the middle of the zone around the kodo graveyard that gives quests as well. Visit the dwarf, he gives a great necklace reward.
Thousand Needles > Shimmering Flats - race track area gives a few quests for low-mid 30s
Gnomeregan - Tinker Town in IF gives quite a few quests for their lost city of gnomeregan. A full group of mid to low 30s would benefit most here.
Badlands (35+) - Some more quests scattered throughout the zone by dwarves and goblins. May want to refer to thottbot for precise locations, otherwise just run around and explore. You can pick up 2 quests in loch modan for this zone, 1 at thelsamar (alchemist) and the other at the expedition site, Prospector Ironband. A few Uldaman quests to do. Get a group together and go to the instanced dungeon for some Indiana Jonesish adventuring.
40-45 Badlands - more quests for 40+ here. though not a lot.
Feralas - I think lowest quest is L42. will give up to L48ish quests, may want to invest in a partner for some unless you get a few levels.
Tanaris - good for 40+, be sure to pick up Stoley's goods quest from Booty Bay, as Stoley is located just west of Gadgetzan @ the Steamweedle Port. You'll pick up a bunch of Zul'Farrak quests as well, an instanced dungeon that is primarily 45+.
