Question for any comic collector's..

I have a ton of comics I have collected over the years (around 20 of them now) and I have a bunch I need to just get rid of, I'm tired of having a whole walk in closet filled with boxes of comics! My questions is if anyone knows a good site to 1) get an accurate idea of what to charge for them and 2) is ebay the best place to sell, or is there someplace more geared to comic collectors where I could get more interest (and hence more $$)? I want them gone, but not to be taken =)
I've got old Batman, Teen Titans, Avengers, Silver Surfer (2nd run) Spawn, Gen13, WildCats.. lord the list goes on and on.. only thing I want to keep is my X titles and hubby's Poison Elves and manga.. That should get rid of half I hope.

You dont have any Spiderman in there do you? Id buy them from you for my son. He loves his Spiderman. :)

No.. I don't think there's any Spiderman.. That's one title I never really got into for some reason.

I have some old Image books... IE: Spawn, Gen 13, Wetworks etc...great quality books. I know this doesn't answer your question. I dont have an answer either.

What about Wildstorm? Do you have any of The Authority? Planetary? Anything by Warren Ellis?

We have some DV8 which is Warren Ellis I believe.. great stuff, I love his work.. have his Excalibur stuff too but that I want to hang on to. I may have more titles, but it's been years so I'm fuzzy as to what we have packed away. At least most everything is bagged and boarded so I know it should be in decent shape.
It was suggested on NS that the best bet is to sell to a shop, so I guess I need to grab a Wizard and see if I have anything really valuable, the rest I'll just try and dump as lots on Ebay I suppose. I would have expected some sort of collectors site online but it's probably something people are more confortable seeing before buying to verify condition.

From what I know eBay is really the only place that you are going to get some money out of them. Collecting has really gone to hell in the past 10 years or so and the market is just glutted with all types of comics from the 80's onward.
