Cud the Tuaren

This one actually took multiple attempts to color since it was a different style. Anywhoe, was going for a darker look but had to pop it out. Hence the rim-lighting.

It's a bit different from my regular coloring style. Oh... and Mae, I was considering coloring up your image in this style as well unless you'd prefer my older method.

Black and white version for comparison.

I saw this on DA - this new technique is amazing and I'd love for you to color mine this way!!! Your pieces are always so awe inspiring, so unfortunately I have no c/c, not that I could find any if tried, I think. :wink

He looks wonderful! The new lighting style was perfect for making him stand out even though he is filled with dark colors.

What resolution do your normally work at, Saraquael? If you don't mind me asking. :cute

Usually around 11x17 at 600dpi.

I think in pixels that makes it around...6600x10200 ish

:faint I think my system would churn to a halt and die at that resolution, and mine is a pretty decent one, if a couple years old... that's impressive! And you use a tablet of course.. amazing as always Saraq!!

My computer would pop up on the screen.

You're joking right? Press (y)es or (n)o.

And then crash.

Yes, one of my bryce animation renders took more than a day. :-o

My tools in photoshop start 'floating' is the only way I can describe it, if the picture is too large for it to handle. Some things take it a while to update so its hard for me to see what I'm doing. I have to paint, wait, paint, wait. That's really annoying. I'm guessing yours don't do this?

Mine slows down on occasion when I work. Usually towards the end of the work.

I work pretty much in a single layer though, so that helps reduce the workload a bit.
